Me and my friends love playing table tennis or ping pong for so many years now. Personally i played ping pong since i was second year student with my high school classmates at the house of our friend. Later on that year my brother bought a plywood actually its a marine plywood 8 by 4 feet, we painted it black then start playing in his under-construction house. I only have few skills back then, no backspin or side spin serve, no top spin attack. The only thing i was good at was hitting the ball pretty hard in a straight line fashion, later on i learned that its called smash.
When I was in college, we sometimes visit a local gym for ping pong, they have like 8 tables all lined up, with a small window opening at the back and a half open window with swimming pool in front. What i like with that gym is that the windows are small that it feels like you are inside a sauna room, that in few minutes, you will be sweating all over your t-shirt and pants, even your underwear will get wet too. The entire room will be exhausting in 1 hour so you have to get out for fresh air near the swimming pool area. What bad about that experience is that the ping pong table tops are all marine plywood which are also 8 by 4 feet which i believe is not the standard table dimension based on ITTF. Though the table tennis table is smaller, it serves as well, but playing ping pong indoor is not really what i like, im more interested in an outdoor ping pong table.
I had been searching on the net for cheap used but durable outdoor ping pong table. Rain and hot sunny day is really an issue here in our places, but we are able to put a cover on top of our table. Another problem with playing outdoor is the wind blowing the ping pong ball off its track, we tried our best to cover at least 2 side of the playing area and bought a heavy and a little bit expensive butterfly table tennis ball. Another problem with outdoor table tennis, is that we have to buy a lot of balls since it keep cracking up once it hits the rock, concrete walls, fortunately we are now using a heavy durable ball, since it feels it has more plastic into it, but it is only 1 star, made in china and probably won't pass the ITTF standard.
With all the factors that involved in playing outdoor ping pong game, we really have to be flexible on the choices we made. The good is that you don't have to experience the same, since we will be try our best to cover the best possible way to find the best outdoor ping pong table on the market today.
